St. Joseph’s Parish (Tanso) and St. John of God Rectorate (Atwima Koforidua) were crowned joint winners for the 2017 Nyinahin Deanery fun games held at Osei Tutu S.H.S sports complex, Akropong on 1st May 2017. 

Holy Week is the week preceding Easter and the final week of Lent. Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday and ends with Holy Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday. Holy Week includes Holy Thursday (also known as Maundy Thursday) and Good Friday, which, together with Holy Saturday, are known as the Triduum. Before the revision of the liturgical calendar in 1969, Holy Week was the second week of Passiontide; in the current calendar, Passiontide is synonymous with Holy Week.

 About two thousand people in one spirit and mind thronged the Holy Spirit Cathedral Saturday March 4, 2017 to witness the consecration ceremony of Ghana to the sacred heart of Jesus by the Catholic Church. The celebration was to solemnly commit Ghana, her leaders, people and her entire wellbeing to the unfathomable love of Jesus Christ who himself is God’s greatest gift of love to mankind.
